After purchasing the domain name and a hosting account, I finally settled on WordPress 2.0 as the software to power this blog. There are still lots of details to be ironed out, not the least of which are the theme and elements that will appear in the sidebars. The themes that emphasize content while minimizing distractions are those that most interest me. At present I think that a three-column theme will work best for what I’m planning. It’s also my desire to pick a somewhat classy color scheme so people will not tire of reading the posts. That is to say that I don’t want the presentation to diminish the effect of the message.
There are so many plug-ins that it’s difficult to predict which would be useful. Testing and time will tell what adds the most value.

I agree with the article, nowadays there are so many plugins for WordPress that it is even difficult to choose which to use and how to configure to make a blog well responsive.
