I’ve been pulling a lot of information through “the tubes” lately, and some of that is worth repeating. Specifically, I’ve come across some great resources for people wanting to carefully analyze their own finances.
http://www.mdmproofing.com/iym/excel.shtml – They have some nice spreadsheets which will help you get a better feel for certain aspects of your personal finances. The one that I especially liked was their Statement of Net Worth. It has a lot more detail (from which you can tell that they put some careful thought into it) than the simple spreadsheet that I created, but it doesn’t give you the ability to see your month to month changes since it’s more of a “snapshot” view of your net worth. They also have a cool spreadsheet to help you do some of the tricky calculations for laddering CDs.
The following links have more than I’ve been able to take full advantage of, but they’re in my sidebar and have a bunch of great tools:

Please tell me about any information or tools you come across that you find especially helpful.
